In 1907 August Johansson started production of wooden clogs in Troentorp. Originally clogs were made completely in wood, later leather uppers replaced wood and a thin outer sole was introduced, making the clogs more comfortable.

A number of years ago a further development was realized by introducing a thicker polyurethane outer sole, thus making the clog softer and more adapted to the modern environment of harder floors. These improvements have been made without losing the original advantages of the orthopedic innersole in contact with the foot.

The orthopedic advantages of Troentorp clogs are well known among hospital workers, chefs, kitchen staff and others who spend all day on there feet.
